Why would some-one do this? My husband and myself had just finished sanding down and varnishing my mother’s memorial bench and now look:
Its a lovely bench, and stands in Newlands Forest overlooking a beautiful view near the tree we planted over her ashes.
Luckily the new name plate was not damaged. But now we will have to sand it down all over again, and revarnish. Hopefully this was an isolated incident.
