Ant’s Eye View

As antidote to today’s very cold, rainy and grey spring weather, here are some pictures I took in Kirstenbosch the other day.  I stuck my phone in right underneath the flowers to get an ant’s eye view of the sunny sky:

    Beautiful!
It reminds me of my trip to Europe last year. On the last day of the trip, My friend and I went to visit a palace Near Munich and just to find that the place was closed. We didn’t have time to go somewhere else so we just spent our last hours in the palace garden playing with camera.

We set the automatic shutter and put the camera on the ground under some pretty flowers and tried to posed estimating that we would be in the range of the camera’s focus. The shot turned out pretty nice and funny. The hilarious thing was that people just wondered what we were doing and came to look what was under those flowers!

Such beautiful time. I wish I could go for a trip again!

That does sound like a special time. 🙂

We used to do pinhole camera projects in the Company Gardens when we were students. A pinhole camera looks just like a cardboard box . Actually, it is just a cardboard box with some photographic paper inside. You have to use a really long exposure with a pinhole. Result is you get many funny looks, because to passers by it seems you are posing for 2 or 3 minutes in front of…a cardboard box. 🙂

    That sound funny 😀

Sometimes it’s fun to see people’s thoughts of us being ridiculous while we’re actually doing serious stuff!

    What beautiful pictures!

It’s hard to believe they were taken from just your phone.
