I’ve joined pinterest . I’m using it to find images that inspire my writing. Or that’s my rationalization, at at any rate. 🙂

Not sure if you’ve heard about all the fuss around Pinterest and copyright? I’m trying Gimmebar now – same sort of thing, but allows private pinboards.

I’ve been following that, and so far I’m not that convinced by the articles I’ve read. I’m careful to link back to the original image on the artists site own site if I can possibly find it, and to attribute the author of the image.
The “pinterest are violating copyright” articles I’ve read come across as rather alarmist and manipulative, and I’m a bit put off by the rhetoric. I agree it’s not a straightforward issue though.
