Urban Dryads

I’ve been trying to draw moments from memory.  The drawings below were inspired by two little girls who live in my neighbourhood.  I saw them the other day standing in front of their home.

Both of them have very long hair, and they had a long ribbon sort of wrapped around themselves.  The wind was blowing their hair and the ribbon, and they were just standing there next to each other, lost in thought.  Like two little nymphs.

Then I tried to do a drawing of dryads – which are tree-spirits.  I had a lot of fun drawing this, but now that it is finished I don’t really like it very much.  Funny how that happens:
